Orlando, Fla. (September 9, 2008) — Van Gogh Imports, formerly Luctor International and the importers of Van Gogh® Vodka, announced today the retirement of its founder and President David van de Velde.

“This was a difficult decision to retire after 25 years in an exciting industry,” van de Velde said. “It is time to retire with a feeling of appreciation to an industry and a country that have given me the opportunity to create two well known brands.”

Assuming Van Gogh Import’s newly created role of chairman and CEO is industry veteran Norman Bonchick. Prior to joining Van Gogh in 2004, Bonchick worked for a major supplier, as well as two major distributors in Chicago and south Florida.

Bonchick has appointed Jonathan Bleiberg the new president and COO of Van Gogh Imports. Bleiberg worked for two major US suppliers before joining National Distributing Company of South Florida in a senior management role. He joined Van Gogh in February 2006 as vice president/national sales manager. (more…)

1/2 gallon fruit punch
1 can frozen orange juice concentrate
1 quart ginger ale
3-4 scoops orange sherbet (optional)
